Winter’s Here!
November 10, 2021 11:06 amYes, it’s cold outside and the leaves are falling fast so now’s the time to embrace the season by making the most of what it has to offer. Who doesn’t like eating? So, here’s what’s seasonal at the moment….
Apples, Beetroot, Brussels Sprouts, Carrots, Celeriac, Celery, Chestnuts, Chicory, Cranberries, Jerusalem Artichokes, Kale, Leeks, Mushrooms, Onions, Parsnips, Pears, Potatoes, Pumpkin, Quince, Red Cabbage, Swede, Swiss Chard, Turnips, Winter Squash, White Cabbage, oh and did I mention all cabbages?
Eating the rainbow food-wise delivers a multitude of vitamins and phyto-nutrients that boost the immune system and protect us from all kinds of degenerative disease. They also taste amazing so really why wouldn’t you?
Soups, stew, curry, hot pots and casseroles; most can be done in a slow cooker if you’re out doing other stuff but, if you’re not, enjoy a glass of antioxidant rich red wine and music while you cook up a feast.
We have a requirement for vitamin D which supports many body systems and functions and we are not going to be getting that from the sunshine anytime soon so consider supplementing vitamin D along with other essentials vitamins and minerals that we don’t get enough of from our mineral depleted soil and imperfect diet. The inter-dependence of vitamins makes a combined supplement ideal. Use the links on the website to order a very good quality supplement from Biocare or other another listed company. It’s a sound investment in your winter health.
If you want to know if your immune system is functioning optimally, or are concerned with reactions to covid or flu vaccines get in touch and book a session. Likewise if you’ve not fully recovered from a covid infection contact me I’m happy to explain how Kinesiology works.
Aromatherapy massage is a lovely winter warmer especially when enjoyed on a heated massage table. The organic essential oils are muscle tested for you to address specific issues and so the entire session is a bespoke, relaxing and peaceful experience.
Winter is a beautiful season, so ensure you’re up to enjoying its challenges by being in the best health possible. Kinesiology is an incredible modality, make it part of your life so that optimal health is your everyday state of being.
